Winner log

Each draw is saved here with its time, the winner, the prize and the odds. The log stays in this browser.

How this draw stays fair
  • The winner and the prize are drawn with your browser’s crypto.getRandomValues before the wheels start to turn.
  • Each chance is the weight divided by the total weight on that wheel, exactly as the odds table shows.
  • Spin time, Stop and the animation never change a result, and no setting picks a winner in advance.
  • The winner log keeps each draw’s time and odds, so you can publish the record with the result.

Quick start

Make a prize wheel online

The page opens with 2 wheels side by side: Entrants holds the people, and Prizes holds what they can win. Swap in your own lists and you are ready to draw. It's free, with no account.

  1. Add the entrants

Select the Entrants wheel and paste one name per line. Import entrants accepts CSV, Excel (.xlsx) and plain-text files; a tickets or weight column adds extra entries.

  2. List the prizes

Select the Prizes wheel and type one prize per line, such as Gift card or T-shirt. The prize wheel generator gives each line its own slice.

  3. Set odds and stock

In the Odds table, set each prize's weight between 0.01 and 1,000, and its stock at up to 9,999. An empty stock box means no limit.

  4. Press Spin all

Both wheels turn and stop together. The popup names the giveaway winner and the prize, and the winner log saves the draw with its time.

Before the first draw, choose what happens to each winner under After each draw, then press Copy odds for your rules. Timer, full screen, sounds and share links behave just like they do on the spin the wheel homepage.

Weighted prizes

How prize wheel odds work

A prize's chance equals its weight over the combined weight of every prize on the Prizes wheel. A prize with weight 2 lands twice as often as a prize with weight 1, and its slice is twice as wide.

Take a trade show booth with 4 prizes and a total weight of 10. Stickers carry half the weight, so half of all spins end on a sticker. The gift card gets 0.5, which makes it the rare one.

Entrants follow the same rule. A person with 3 entries in a list of 10 entries has a 3 ÷ 10 = 30% chance in that draw. Show each entrant's chance lists everyone, highest first.

Both results are fixed by crypto.getRandomValues in your browser before either wheel moves, so spin time and Stop change nothing. See how the picks are tested.

Draw by draw

How the odds change after each giveaway winner

Each winner who leaves and each prize that runs out makes the next draw more likely for everyone still in. Here is the default giveaway played to the end, with Remove the winner on.

Chances in each draw of the default giveaway
DrawEntrants leftEach entrantPrizes leftEach prize
Draw 1812.5% (1 in 8)520% (1 in 5)
Draw 2714.3% (1 in 7)425% (1 in 4)
Draw 3616.7% (1 in 6)333.3% (1 in 3)
Draw 4520% (1 in 5)250% (1 in 2)
Draw 5425% (1 in 4)1100% (Certain)

By draw 5 one prize is left, so the odds table shows it as Certain. Changes happen when you close the result, and the message that follows offers Undo.

  • Remove the winner

Takes every line with the winner's name off the Entrants wheel, so nobody wins twice. Suits one-prize-per-person giveaways.

    Default

  • Remove 1 entry

Takes only the winning line. Someone who held 3 entries keeps 2 of them and can win again.

    Extra entries

  • Keep the winner in

Leaves the list as it is. Use it for prize-only spins at a booth, or games where repeat wins are fine.

    Repeat wins

A prize leaves when its stock reaches 0 while Take a prize off the wheel is ticked. Untick it and the prize stays on at 0 until you raise the stock or delete the line.

Transparent draws

Run a giveaway wheel draw people can check

Publish the rules, the entry list and the odds before the draw, then keep the record afterward. The prize wheel keeps most of that record for you.

Copy odds turns the Odds table into plain text for your rules or your post. The sample shows what the wheel copies as it first opens.

If each person may enter once, run Remove duplicates from the Entries tab before you spin. Draw on a live stream or record your screen, then export the winner log.

The CSV holds one row per draw: time in UTC, winner, prize, both chances and the prizes left. The fair online giveaway guide covers planning, announcing and drawing in order.

Prize odds for each spin:

- Grand prize: 20% (1 in 5), 1 available

- Gift card: 20% (1 in 5), 1 available

- T-shirt: 20% (1 in 5), 1 available

- Mug: 20% (1 in 5), 1 available

- Sticker pack: 20% (1 in 5), 1 available

Entrants: 8 people, each with a 12.5% chance (1 in 8) per draw.

How to make a prize wheel by hand

To make a physical prize wheel, mount a round board on a bearing, mark the slices, fit a pointer and label the prizes. The slice angles set the odds, so work them out first.

What a tabletop spinning prize wheel needs

  • A round board of plywood or thick foam board, 18 to 24 inches across.
  • A spinner: a lazy Susan bearing, or a bolt through the center with washers and a nut.
  • A stand or wall mount that holds the wheel upright and level.
  • A pointer made of a flexible plastic strip, plus pegs at the slice edges for the clicking sound.
  • A protractor, a pencil and paint markers for the slices and labels.

Turn each chance into an angle: chance × 360°. A 5% gift card needs an 18° slice, and a 50% sticker needs half the board.

Draw the lines from the center with the protractor, paint the slices, then mount the board and fix the pointer at the top.

Test it with 20 or more spins before the event. A heavy side or a tilted stand makes some slices win too often, and the pegs can trap the pointer on a line.

Compared

Online prize wheel vs a physical spinning prize wheel

A physical wheel draws a crowd at an event, while an online wheel gives exact, published odds and a saved record. At a booth the 2 can work side by side.

Before launch

What the prize wheel leaves to you

The wheel draws from the list you give it. Collecting entries, checking entrants and handing over prizes stay with you.

Your side of the giveaway

  • Collect the entries. The wheel is not a lottery or sweepstakes system, so it has no ticket sales, payments or prize claims.
  • Check every entrant. Age, location, duplicate accounts and eligibility are yours to verify before the draw.
  • Gather the names. The wheel can't read social media, so copy comments or follower lists into a file or the Entries box. For a plain list with no prizes, the random name picker is quicker.
  • Contact the winners. Announce the results and message each winner yourself.
  • Save the record. The winner log lives in this browser, and wiping site data wipes the log. Download the CSV once the giveaway ends.

Check the rules where you run it

Giveaway and sweepstakes rules vary by country, state and platform. Read the laws and platform terms that apply to you before you launch a giveaway.

FAQ

Prize wheel FAQ

Is this prize wheel free?

Yes. Nothing is locked behind an account, and there is nothing to install.

Can I make 1 prize rarer than the others?

Yes. Lower its weight in the Odds table. A prize with weight 1 on a wheel with a total weight of 20 has a 5% chance.

Can I stop the same person winning twice?

Yes. Keep Remove the winner selected. Every line with that name leaves the Entrants wheel when you close the result.

How do extra entries work?

Each extra entry is 1 more line, or 1 more point of weight, for that person. 3 lines on a wheel of 12 lines give a 25% chance in that draw.

Can I spin for a prize with no entrant?

Yes. Select the Prizes wheel and press Spin Prizes, or set Winners come from to No wheel. The prize still goes into the winner log.

Where is the winner log saved?

On this device, in this browser. It survives a reload, but clearing site data deletes it. Export the CSV to keep a copy.

Can I draw winners on a live stream?

Yes. Press Full screen, capture the browser window in your streaming software and press Spin all on camera. Our streaming guide walks through the OBS setup.

Can it pull entrants from Instagram or YouTube comments?

No. It only uses names you paste or import. Copy the comments into a list or a CSV file first.
